About RSS Newsfeeds

Put simply, RSS newsfeeds deliver news headlines and story links directly to your desktop or web browser without the need to surf through multiple websites.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. The idea is that websites such as this one compile their latest news into a standard format, which is updated everytime something changes. If you want to keep up-to-date with this information, all you have to do is look at the RSS newsfeed. It saves the time effort of trawling through individual sites to get the information you want.

Accessing our newsfeeds

You don't have to manually access the newsfeed every time you want to take a look. You can download an RSS newsreader, which is a small piece of software that runs on your computer and can display the contents of the newsfeed on your desktop.

Some web browsers (such as Firefox, Safari and Opera) have built-in functionality to identify newsfeeds for you. For more information, check the websites for these browsers.

Using our newsfeeds on your website
